Jessie Erickson is the District Assessment Coordinator for Grand Forks Public Schools. Jessie holds Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Specialist Diploma in Educational Leadership. She has had the opportunity to work with the students and staff as a teacher, Building Resource Coordinator, Instructional Coach and Curriculum Technology Partner within the Grand Forks Public Schools and Grand Forks Air Force Base School Districts.

Jessie is the NE Director and President Elect for the North Dakota Association of Technology Leaders. She also, truly enjoys being a Discovery Education DEN Star and Ambassador, a member of the DEN Leadership Council. She has had impact at the state policy level as an appointed member to the North Dakota State Superintendent of Public Instruction’s Innovative Education Task Force. Jessie has presented at multiple conferences, is featured in several podcasts, published in eTech News and has been a feature blogger. Jessie is also a recipient of the 2020 NDATL Technology Teacher of the Year award.

Jessie is a certified educator, ambassador and mentor for multiple edtech platforms, and leads multiple professional learning events at the school, district and state level. She is a dedicated life-long learner and continues to seek new skills, tools and strategies to improve her craft, as well as the experiences of those she is instructing, whether they are children or adults. Jessie embraces student-centered classrooms and elevating voice and choice for all learners as well as facilitating opportunities that ignite students’ passions about leading and learning.

In her free time, she loves to run, spend time with family and pets, and read. Her other passion is being a mom and wife. She has two beautiful and talented children, Kate and Reed; and a fantastic husband and best friend named Tom.
